Paul speaks to the court of the Areopagus which is full of Epicureans(think Atheists) and Stoics (think New Age spiritualists. He speaks in their language but doesn't compromise on the Gospel message - and we must follow his lead. Paul also makes clear that there is One God who is Lord over all and owns all which means we must reject idolatry and false religiosity.
