Jesus is the Good Shepherd who leads us into life to the full. He does this by dying in our place for our sins: He lays down His life for His sheep. In this and this alone is true peace and hope, something I know from my own life experiences of wrestling with darkness and depression.
Would you lay down your life for Jesus or when persecution and false teaching come will you flee like a hired hand? Ultimately, only Jesus can open our eyes and the eyes of those we love to the wonders of His mercy and love - do you pray for Him to do so each day?

(SERMON) I AM the Gate - John 10.1-10
In our first of two sermons on John 10 we consider three questions raised by the first two 'shepherdry' images.
Are you a sheep following the song of the Shepherd Saviour who flees from false teachers?
Are you secure and safe in the sheepfold having come through The Gate?
Are you living in the good green pastures of peace and joy which we can enter into now through The Gate?
