What does it mean to follow Jesus?
It means to believe what He says, think what He thought, and do what He asks. This is not an easy life choice, it will make us go against society, friends, family, and even our own human nature. But NOTHING sets you free from the slavery we all live in except Jesus.

(SERMON) Zephaniah 2.4-3.8
What can we learn from such and strong word of judgement? We learn that we need humility not pride, we need reliance on Jesus not self-sufficiency, that God is a just judge but also a promising saviour. We see that God fulfills His word in Jesus and in Jesus we find life in all its fullness.

Saint Thomas and his story gives us much to think about - do we believe our lives can be so drastically changed? Do we expect to see Jesus when we meet together for worship and prayer? Do we recognise that Jesus is truly Lord and God?
